VEENDAM
TOUR

DINING
The Rotterdam Dining Room (upper right) is the
ship's main dining room. In the next year,
VEENDAM will be going over to HAL's "As-you-
wish Dining". Under that system, the lower level
of the restaurant will retain the traditional
shipboard dining system with assigned seatings
and tables as well as dedicated staff while the
upper level will offer some additional flexibility as
to times and tables. The new system only relates
to dinner. For breakfast and lunch, the
Rotterdam will remain open seating. The dining
room, itself is located near the stern of the ship
and is tastefully done in a modern style.
The Pinnacle Grill (right) is the ship's extra-tariff
specialty restaurant. These restaurants have
become a standard on HAL ships and specialize in
creative dishes, often with a connection to Alaska
or the Pacific northwest where HAL maintains a
significant presence.
A more casual alternative is the Lido Buffet (lower
right). This is a self-serve venue located high on
the ship between the outdoor and indoor pool
areas. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Light fare is available poolside at the Terrace
Grill (bottom right).
Explorations adjacent to the library and the
internet cafe offers coffees and snacks (bottom).
