ACCOMMODATIONS
What about the accommodations?  We
have 990 staterooms for the guests.
Over 85 per cent are outside
staterooms, a great proportion.  Over
two-thirds of the staterooms have
balconies.  I think once you’ve had a
stateroom with a balcony, it is hard to go
back to inside.  127 are Queens or
Princess Grill suites.  The Grills suites are
the largest accommodations with a
slightly different style of dining.
An inside stateroom is 150 odd square
feet up to 240 square feet.
Outside staterooms with a little seating
area are 180 square feet to 200 square
feet.
Then, you have the balconies which are
slightly larger area.  Those go up to
about 500 square feet.
The Princess Grill suites give you over
500 square feet with a separate seating
area.
Then you go up to the Queens Grill
suites.
The grand suites, there are four  grand
suites on the vessel: the Aquatania, the
Laconia, the Mauretania, and the
Berengaria.  Then, we have two master
suites which are located in the midships
section, the Carpathia, and the Coronia.

CONCLUSION  So there you have QUEEN VICTORIA.  I do hope you like the look of the ship.  She is
very much built on the traditional ocean liner style.
Let's just have a peak at where she is going to be traveling.  Her maiden voyage is an unusual itinerary for
Cunard - - it is the Christmas Markets Voyage, the first time we will have done such an itinerary.  That takes
her to do the northern European ports that are all decorated for Christmas.  We think that will be a wonderful
journey and that voyage sold out within a matter of hours.
She then goes down to The Canaries for her first ever Christmas which will be a little touch of sunshine.
Then, she sets off on her maiden world cruise.  We think she will be a wonderful ship and turn some heads as
she goes around all of those ports for the first time.
We just very recently released her Summer 2008 itinerary.  We have her sailing out of Southampton round-trip
for the first half of the summer.  We are back up in the Baltic again for the first time since 2004.  We are looking
at calling at St. Petersburg and those wonderful Scandinavian and Eastern European ports.  And she'll be
heading up to the fjords.
At the end of July, she heads into the Med and she will be doing fly-voyages.  These are from either Barcelona
or  Rome to Athens or Venice, calling at various exciting and interesting ports along the way.   This is the first
time we have done fly-voyages in the Mediterranean  since the late 1990s.  So, we look forward to doing that
and I think there is already some popular demand for those voyages.
Who will be driving the ship?  We have Paul Wright who is a captain of some 26 years Cunard experience - -
he is going be at the helm, be master of the vessel.  We are delighted that he has taken up our invitation to be
master.
[The ship was floated out from the dry dock where she was begun] just a few months ago.  Now, she is being
outfitted, all of her wonderful finishes being added to make her look beautiful.
QUEEN VICTORIA will join our fleet along with her sisters QUEEN MARY 2 and QE2  so that by
December of this year we will have that wonderful threesome all serving together.  This will be the first time that
we have three Cunard Queens plying the ocean waves. That will happen for a year [until QE2 retires from
service].  This will be a fabulous time for us - - three Cunard Queens.  We are going have the inaugural
celebrations in Southampton in December.
