WINING AND DINING
COMMODORE CLUB AND
HEMISPHERES Now, we go up to the Commodore
Club. This will be at the very forward end of the ship. A
very clubby style of room with a nautical feel with ship
models behind the bar. It will have wonderful views
forward of the ocean outside.
Very close to that room will be another room, a new room
for Cunard, called Hemispheres. This room has a 270
degree view out of the wonderful floor to ceiling windows,
looking to the side and also aft. During the day, we will
have classes up here, you can sit and relax up here at the
bar. In the evening, it turns into a magnificent night club.
So, the Commodore Club and the Hemispheres nightclub
will be for those who want to wile the night away. It will
be well away from the accommodations so no one else
will hear it.
OTHER BARS AND
LOUNGES We also have a number
of traditional Cunard bars and clubs.
We have got a Midships Bar where you
can enjoy wine tasting. There is Café
Carinthia, where we will have our
wonderful program of specialties. We
will have the Chart Room Bar for
cocktails before you head into dinner.
THE MAIN DINING ROOM
If we then go down to the aft end, we
have the Britannia Restaurant, which is
our main restaurant for the ship. This is
going to be a double height space room.
It has cantilevered balconies on the
upper level. A wonderful piece of art
work is being prepared for it. There
will be an art deco style to the restaurant.
SPECIALTY RESTAURANT Todd English is very
popular on QUEEN MARY 2 so we kept that for this
vessel. It will seat about 300 people, just off the Grand
Lobby.
GRILL RESTAURANTS [As on
QUEEN ELIZABETH 2 and QUEEN
MARY 2, passengers traveling in the
ship's suites will dine in either the
Princess Grill or the Queens Grill]. The
Grill rooms are on a slightly different
place on the ship. They are on Deck 11
in their own special area. The
restaurants are going to be cantilevered
out over the sides of the ship. The
Queens Grill will be on the port side and
the Princess Grill will be on starboard. In
the middle will be the Courtyard, an
open deck for al fresco dining.
