The Opal Theater is the largest entertainment venue onboard
Oasis. In addition to the risers and rotating sections that are
standard equipment on a Broadway-class stage, there is are
spiral staircases on either side of this stage and a movable bridge
across the top, which allows the production company to perform
in additional dimensions. The theater is also equipped for aerial
performances and such performances have been incorporated
into the shows.
The theater is home for the cast's musical production shows as
well as for full-length performances of the Broadway / West End
As on RCI's Voyager and Freedom class ships, the ice show
performances on the rink in Studio B are an entertainment
highlight with spectacular lighting, costumes, music and
choreography as well as virtuoso skating.
The Royal Promenade becomes the scene for colorful entertainment at night. The crew perform in
costumed parades that include colorful costumes, lighting, smoke, music and even aerial acrobatics. There
are also themed dance parties such as a tribute to the 70s disco era and the Captain hosts his welcome
reception in the Royal Promenade.
Casino Royale drew its inspiration from the casinos of the French Riviera. While still quite lively, the decor is somewhat more restrained
than on earlier ships. The room has 460 slot machines, 104 penny machines and 27 gaming tables. It also has its own bar. Immediately outside
of the casino is an installation called the Hall of Odds, discussing the probability of success in various games and ventures.
Comedy Live is a stand-up comedy club. There are two comedians onboard both of
whom are featured in the comedy shows. This venue is also used for improvisational
comedy workshops featuring the ship's production company.
The room is decorated like a New York City subway. Outside a whimsical bronze
alligator appears out of a manhole - - a play on the urban legend that there are
alligators living in the New York City sewers.

OF THE SEAS
A new innovation on Oasis was to replace the stern swimming pool area
with a water-based entertainment area called the AquaTheater. The
centerpiece is a pool that incorporates risers that can change the depth
from 18 feet to the level of the surrounding deck. This enables the
performers to do shows that include high diving, synchronized swimming,
stage acting, and trampoline performances. The area is also equipped for
aerial acrobatics and that too is incorporated into the show.
There are giant LCD screens on either side of the pool area. These are
used in the performances and for showing movies outdoors.
The AquaTheater is also used as a regular stage and the ship's singers and
musicians put on performances here.
