Every two weeks, Oasis of the Seas calls at Phillipsburg on the Dutch half of the island of St. Maarteen. The island is one of the most popular destinations in the Caribbean and its cruise terminal is designed to accommodate several large cruise ships at a time. Indeed, on the day these photos were taken there were five ships in port with Oasis (Celebrity Silhouette, Adventure of the Seas, Mein Schiff 2, Ruby Princess and Carnival Dream).
In the photo above, Oasis is docked at the pier that was built largely in anticipation of Oasis.
Other ships arrive to join Oasis. Here, Carnival Dream approaches in order to dock next to Oasis.
As evening falls, Oasis becomes a blaze of colored lights. Her passengers back from a day exploring the island, she casts off and sets off into the darkness.
