QUEEN VICTORIA
PHOTO TOUR AND
COMMENTARY
THE GRILLS
On Cunard ships, passengers in the top cabin
categories are assigned to the Grill restaurants
rather than to the main dining room. On QUEEN
VICTORIA, 127 of the ship's 1007 staterooms
(about 12%) are Grill cabins.
The Grill restaurants on QUEEN VICTORIA are
single seating and have a much more
contemporary atmosphere than the Britannia
restaurant. The focus is very much on gourmet
cuisine and the Grills on Cunard's other ships
have been rated amongst the world's top
restaurants.
The top suites are assigned to the Queens Grill
(above). This is located high on the ship and is
cantilevered out over the port side of the ship.
Its mirror image is the Princess Grill on the
starboard side of the ship.
Between the two restaurants is the
Courtyard, an open air dining area where
Grill passengers can have afternoon tea or dine
al fresco.
In addition to separate dining, Grill
passengers have access to the Grills
Upper Terrace where they can sun bath
and enjoy the spectacular view. It also has
a special viewing tower (left) that allows
passengers to see over the wind screen that
surrounds the area. This is particularly
useful when the ship is entering or leaving
port in good weather.
Grills passengers can also relax in
the Grills Lounge (below), which has its
own dedicated bar.
