BARS AND LOUNGES
QUEEN MARY 2
There are 14 bars and lounges on QM2,
covering a variety of tastes.  Perhaps the
most popular is the
Commodore
Club
located high on Deck 9 with views
overlooking the front of the ship.  The
room also features the world's largest
model of QM2.
On Deck 3 are three rather cosmopolitan lounges.  As the name suggests, The Verve Clicquot Champagne Bar (above)
specializes in the champagnes of the renown French champagne house and has a menu of caviars and other similar delights.
Immediately adjacent is the sophisticated
Chart Room (below), which also has cocktail music as well as  classical and jazz
performances.
G-32 is the ship's nightclub.  The name comes from the
number the shipyard assigned to QM2 when she was
being built. This follows in the footsteps of QE2 where
the original nightclub, located where the Queens Grill is
now, was named after QE2's shipyard number.
Deck 7 has the Winter Garden Bar (above).  This
area is also used for art auctions, poetry readings by
actors from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and for
receptions.

Deck 7 also has the
Queens Grill Lounge (right),
which is the only public lounge on the ship reserved
exclusively for the use of passengers dining in the Grill
restaurants.

 One can always have
champagne in one's
stateroom.

A British-style mailbox marks the main entrance to the more informal
Golden Lion Pub on Deck 2.  It is home to such pub-style entertainment
as dart competitions and trivia games during the day and offers several
choices of pub food for lunch.  In the evenings, there is karaoke and/or a
singer/pianist.

Adjoining the Commodore Club but separated by a glass wall is Churchill's Cigar Bar above left).  The
corresponding space on the port side is occupied by the
Boardroom, a secluded area  that can be used for small groups
or to just get away.
Sir Samuel's Wine Bar is the
scene of wine tastings and, in the
mornings, offers specialty coffees
and  pastries.
