The Restaurant has a full buffet breakfast and casual lunches. Dinner is
single seating. There are no assigned tables so that passengers can dine
with whoever they wish. There are several large tables so that people
can gather to talk about the days events. The expedition staff (e.g. the
naturalist, the historical, he undersea specialist) also dine in The
Restaurant to facilitate the exchange of information.
While guests may be following in the footsteps of the great explorers, they do not
rough-it when it comes to dining. (See examples: lunch menu and dinner menu).
Lindblad seeks to inform its guests about the relationship between cuisine and the
places its ships visit as well as the environmental impact of food choices. When
possible, the kitchen uses local ingredients and produce, sustainable catch fish and
indigenous products.
The Bistro, located just aft of The Restaurant is a more intimate dining
venue. As with the main dining room, it is open seating.
