NCL's philosophy is to allow passengers to design their
own cruise. The passengers choose when and where to
eat, what amenities to use and which activities to
participate in. NCL provides the canvas, the brushes
and the paint for the passengers to create such a picture.
NORWEGIAN SPIRIT is not a spectacular ship.
Although by no means small, she is not of the dimensions
of QUUEN MARY 2 or FREEDOM OF THE SEAS.
Nor was the interior decor intended to shock the senses
with neon and glitter. Rather, she is a medium sized
modern cruise ship that has the feel of a modern hotel.
The ship is well-equipped with amenities. The
atmosphere is casual.
Although refitted for the American market after six
years of cruising as SUPERSTAR LEO in Southeast
Asia, NORWEGIAN SPIRIT retains a distinct Asian
feel.

amulti-deck atrium where the
Reception Desk and the Tour
Excursions Desk are located.
A primary feature of NCL's
Freestyle Cruising is that
passengers decide when and
where to eat as opposed to the
traditional method of having
passengers assigned to dine in a
designated restaurant at a specific
time. To facilitate this,
NORWEGIAN SPIRIT has 11
restaurants, some of which are
included in the price of the cruise
and some of which are extra-tariff.

specialty resturant intended to
cater to the "modern and classic
French gourmet."

traditional ship's wheel has been installed in the Galaxy of the Stars
Observation Lounge for those who want to take a turn as helmsman.
BELOW LEFT: Located near the top of the ship, the Tivoli Pool is the ship's main outdoor swimming pool.
It is surrounded by four hot tubs and numerous deck chairs for sunbathing. BELOW RIGHT: On Deck 7
there is an open promenade that wraps completely around the ship.
