ACCOMODATIONS
The accommodations on Epic are designed
to attract people with a wide variety of
tastes, financial resources and traveling
needs. They range from ultra luxurious to
practical and utilitarian. They can be
divided into four broad categories - -
suites, deluxe balcony, balcony and inside.
With each category are several
sub-categories.
Within the Balcony Cabin category are two specailized sub-categories as well as the standard balcony cabins. The first
sub-category is Spa Balony Cabins, which give the guests special access to the ship's spa. Family Balony Cabins are located near the
kids' area. Some can accommodate up to four people while others can accommodate three.
All of the balcony cabins are 216 square feet including the balcony. They have curving walls, which give the ooms a stylish look and
which breaks away from the box-like atmosphere sometimes found in modern cruise ship cabins. Like the inside cabins, they feature
bathrooms that have been divided into their component parts.
The double occupancy Inside Staterooms
are 128 square feet. NCL has divided the
traditional bathroom into its component parts
so that the sink, shower etc. are not all
together. This gives the stateroom more room.
(Note some inside staterooms can
accommodate up to four people).
There is consider able variation in the type of Suites (not shown) available on Epic. They range from the 852 square foot Owner's
Suite to the 22 square foot Penthouses. One thing all of these statrooms have in common is luxury. Indeed, just the access to the
Epic Club, Courtyard Grill, and the Courtyard pool and open deck make these cabins a true first class experience. They comprise
in NCL's words "a ship within a ship."

PHOTO TOUR AND
COMMENTARY
Above left: The corridor outside of the studio staterooms has an innovative spaceship look.
Above right: A studio social area.
Breaking with the prevailing wisdom in
the cruise industry, NCL has included
128 Studio cabins (right) on Epic
designed for solo travelers. These
staterooms are 100 square feet but the
space has been used creatively to make a
comfortable environment. In addition,
mood lighting and large windows that
look into the corridor add to their
attractiveness.
In addition, NCL has grouped the studio
cabins around social areas where the
guests traveling in the studios can
socialize and have a bite to eat.
The Deluxe Balcony Cabins (not shown) are larger than the Balcony Cabins, 245 square feet including balcony. Within this
category, there are also Sps and Family variations.
