ACCOMMODATIONS
The inside double cabins are
182 square feet which is
spacious for an inside cabin.
The two lower beds can be put
together to form a Queen-size
bed. They also have a sitting
area with a sofa and a
desk/vanity. The television
comes with a DVD/VCR.
Outside double cabins are 197
square feet. There are variations in the
type of view with some looking out onto
the promenade deck, some looking
directly at the sea and some with
obstructed views. Some have portholes
rather than windows. The Queen size bed
in the photo at the right is composed of
two beds which can also be separated.
These rooms have a television with
DVD/VCR player.
The Verandah Suites are what is often
described as "mini-suites" at 292 square
feet including the balcony. They feature
a sitting area, mini-bar, refrigerator,
whirlpool tub, and television with
DVD/VCR.
Located near the Penthouse are the
Deluxe Vernadah Suites, which are
very large and comfortable (556 square
feet including the balcony). There is a
spacious sitting area that includes a sofa
bed for two people, flat screen television,
whirlpool tub with a separate shower and
two lower beds that combine to make a
king-size bed.
Veendam has a wide variety of
accommodations covering some 17 price
categories. However, those categories can be
divided into five broad groups.
The top-of-the-line stateroom on Veendam is the
Penthouse Verandah Suite (1,159 square feet
including balcony). There is only one and it is a
truly impressive area both in decor, design and
amenities. It includes a separate private dining
area (upper right), a large king-size bed in a
golden sleeping area (right), a nicely-appointed
living room (below right) with sofa bed and a
large private balcony (below). There is also a
master bathroom and a guest toilet, a Jacuzzi, a
pantry, a television with DVD and VCR, a stereo,
mini-bar and refrigerator.
