NOORDAM has an outdoor
promenade deck that wraps around
the ship (left). At the stern, it offers
an unobstructed view of the ship's
wake and passing scenery.
At the front of the superstructure
outside of the gym is an outdoor
observation deck (lower left). It
provides a good vantage point when
the ship is entering or leaving port.

NOORDAM has two swimming pools both located
on Lido Deck. The Lido Pool (above) has a sliding
glass canopy, which can be opened in good weather.
This is a very useful feature for a ship that often
sails from New York in the winter. The Aft Pool is
an outdoor pool (left). Although there are some
events designed to provoke pool-side frolic, the
pools reflect the understated atmosphere of the ship.
Away from the pools on the open decks are some
quiet areas where one can sit on a wooden bench
and watch the sea or play a game of ring toss.

workout playng basketball in the shadow of the
ship's aft funnel (lower right).
