AMSTERDAM

The Culinary Arts Center (above) is a
demonstration kitchen where guests can
attend interactive classes given by the ship's
own chefs or by visiting chefs presented by
Food & Wine magazine. It is located in
Wajang Theater, which is also the venue for
movies. (The demonstration kitchen is behind
the curtain that is in back of the retractable
movie screen in the photo at left).
Explorations is a combination library, Internet cafe, listening room, game room and cafe.
Guests can listen to music at individual listening stations or work on a puzzle (above left);
access the Internet (above right); or read a book (below left).
The Hudson Room is a multi-purpose room that can be used for card games (below right).
The ship has a purpose-built art gallery (above left) as well as an attractive photo gallery (above
right).
For a ship that does not attract
many families with children,
Amsterdam has a substantial
area devoted to children's
activities. In Club HAL, younger
children can participate in
supervised activities (right).
There is also a video games
arcade (left), computers for
children, an indoor area for
teenagers called The Loft as well
as the teenagers only outdoor
area Oasis shown on page 2.

The shops aboard Amsterdam are in harmony
with the ship's sophisticated atmosphere.

HAL's own label wines. Above right: The

Below left: Located apart from the other
