GRAND PRINCESS offers a wide
variety of dining options.  There are
the specialty restaurants for which
there is an additional charge, the
main dining rooms, the buffet and
various light food venues.
The top specialty restaurant is
Sabatini's, which offers an Italian and
seafood menu (above right).  There is
also the steakhouse, referred to as
Sterlings in some of the literature but
called The Painted Desert onboard
(right).

There are three main ding rooms,
each of which is named after an
Italian Renaissance artist and all of
which are very similar in decor.
One of the dining rooms maintains the
traditional shipboard approach to
dining with assigned tables and an
assigned dining time.  The chief virtue
of this approach is that it lets the
passenger develop a re pore with his
or her tablemates and with the
waiters.
The other two dining rooms are
"anytime dining."  Passengers
electing this option can come to
dinner when they want and dine
where they want.  (This is subject to
the caveats that there is space when
the passenger arrives and the desired
table is open).
A passenger can start out by selecting
the traditional approach and if he or
she does not like it, he or she may
switch to anytime dining.  However,
once the switch is made, he or she
cannot return to their old table in the
traditional dining room.
This Personal Choice Dining really
only relates to dinner.  Only one of the
main dining rooms is open for lunch
and breakfast and that is on an
open-seating basis.
The menus and the food in all three of
the main dining rooms are the same.
From top to bottom: The Botticelli
Dining Room (traditional, 508 seats);
the Da Vinci Dining Room (anytime
486 seats); and the Michelangelo
Dining Room (anytime, 486 seats),

The Horizon Court is the ship's 24-hour
informal dining venue.  This 620-seat facility is
pleasantly decorated and offers excellent views
from the seating area.  Breakfast and lunch are
provided buffet style but in the evenings there is
a full-service bistro menu.  Passengers may
also dine outdoors in the adjacent Horizon
Terrace.
    For more mass-market fare, there
is Posedidon's Pizzeria (fresh pizza)
and the Trident Grill (hamburgers
and hot dogs) (left).  There is also an
ice cream stand.
