EXPLORER
OF THE SEAS
VISITS BOSTON
By Richard H. Wagner
Explorer of the Seas is
homeported in Bayonne,
New Jersey in New York
harbor. During most of
the year, she sails to
sunny destinations such
as the Caribbean, the
Bahamas, and Bermuda.
However, on occasion,
she also sails to the cool
climes of New England
and Maritime Canada.
On some cruises, her
itinerary includes Boston,
Massachusetts.
Here, Explorer emerges
out of the morning sun
on her way to berth at the
Black Falcon Cruise
Terminal.
Explorer moves past another cruise ship
already berthed at the terminal.
Explorer is secured by lines bow and stern.
Upon reaching a point in the
river parallel to her berth,
Explorer stops.
Then using her bow thrusters
and her azipods, Explorer
moves sideways until she is next
to the pier.
Explorer waits in the sunshine
as her passengers go out to
explore the city.
