CRYSTAL
SYMPHONY
TOUR AND
COMMENTARY
DINING
Dinner on Crystal Symphony is
done in the traditional two-seating
method with passengers assigned a
table and time for dinner in the main
dining room, The Crystal Dining Room
(right). The room is sophisticated and
the service was attentive.
There are two alternative restaurants on CRYSTAL
SYMPHONY. While these require reservations, unlike
most cruise ships, there is no extra charge for dining
in these restaurants. The Italian specialty restaurant
is Prego (left). Its menus feature signature creations
by Piero Selvaggio, owner of the Valentino
restaurants in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Jade
Garden (below) features modern Asian-inspired
cuisine. It also offers selections featured at Wolfgang
Puck's restaurant.
The Lido Cafe (left) is the ship's
self service restaurant. It has an
elegant but light atmosphere and
the virtue of not looking like a
cafeteria.
The Trident Bar and Grill located
near the ship's outdoor pool offers
light fare. The line has begun to
offer dinner in this area for
passengers who wish to dine
poolside after a long day in port
sight seeing.
A unique venue is Vintages. Guests
can select an array of wines from a
special wine list and the executive
chef will prepare culinary creations to
accompany those selections. The
Head Sommelier also provides wine
tasting notes for each of the selected
wines.
These dinners are held in an
intimate, private, wood-paneled
dining room. The charge is $180 per
person or $1,800 for a party of 12.
The Bistro (below) is a casual venue located on the second level of the ship's central atrium.
Afternoon tea is served in the sunlit
Palm Court.
