CRYSTAL
SYMPHONY
TOUR AND
COMMENTARY
AMENITIES
(Shops, Children's Areas,
Other Public Areas)
CRYSTAL SYMPHONY's 3,000 square foot shopping area is
called Avenue of the Stars. It includes boutique shops done in
glass and chrome ala Fifth Avenue. One shop specializes in
jewelry and collectibles, the second is devoted to fragrances
and cosmetics, while the third features apparel.
The Bridge Lounge (right) is one
of the venues used for lectures as well
as for bridge and other card games.
The enrichment program on
Crystal Symphony includes
instruction about computers.
The Computer University@Sea
features courses about word
processing, creating
spreadsheets, the Internet,
e-mail, and digital cameras, as
well as on the introductory
basics of computing. In the
classroom at right, the desks
open up to reveal computer
work stations.
Consistent with the emphasis on
computers in the enrichment
program, the ship has a sizeable
Internet Cafe (right).
There is also a sizeable traditional
library (left).
As on most cruise ships these
days, CRYSTAL SYMPHONY has an
art gallery and art auctions.
For younger travelers, the ship
has Waves Teen Center, which
includes Play Station 2 video game
machines (right). The Fantasia
Children's Playroom (below) provides
younger children with a supervised
break from the world of adults.
