CROWN PRINCESS
IN BARBADOS
A Photo Essay
by Richard H. Wagner
CROWN PRINCESS in the
harbor at Bridgetown
Barbados in January 2008. It
rained in the morning but
started to clear towards noon
leaving white clouds to frame
the ship (above).
The bow is curved and
futuristic.
CROWN PRINCESS does not
have a nightclub suspended
over her stern as on the first
ships of the Grand Princess
class. Without this
distraction, her lines are more
angular and more pleasing to
the eye.
Above: CROWN PRINCESS in the afternoon sun.
Below: A small ship takes a look at the 110,000 ton giant.
The setting sun bathes CROWN PRINCESS in a golden light as she prepares to get underway.
Much cheering and
sounding of whistles
occurs as CROWN
PRINCESS passes
QUEEN MARY 2 on her
way out to sea.
CROWN PRINCESS heads off
following the setting sun.
