VIEWS OF THE PAST - -
SOME AREAS THAT HAVE
BEEN CHANGED

In addition to adding new features, Celebrity changed
the decor of several key areas. Chief among these
was the centerpiece of the ship the Grand
Staircase. As seen above, the area was much darker
with earth-colored drapery over the pillars.

Similarly, the ship's nightclub Reflections received
a face lift.

Meanwhile, the Martini Bar (above) was transformed into Cellar Masters wine bar.

The Champagne Bar (below), which occupied the port side of the same area has become Bistro on Five.

Overlooking the outdoor pool area on Sunrise
Deck was a large florist shop called the
Conservatory. Using space from the shop, the
nearby ping pong room and a hallway, Celebrity
created the Tuscan Grill.

Overlooking the Grand Staircase on Entertainment
Deck was the Cova Café. The section on the
port side was a wine bar (above left), while the
section on the starboard side specialized in Italian
coffees, pastries and liquore (above right). The
port side became the Gelateria. The starboard side
section along with the adjacent Card Room became
Café al Bacio.

In the Spring of 2010, Constellation underwent a
major refit. This refit was part of a major
undertaking by Celebrity in which features that
had proven popular on Celebrity's new Solstice
class ships would be transplanted into Celebrity's
four Millennium class ships. Constellation was
selected to be the first ship so "Solsticized".

This page shows how some of the areas that
were altered looked before the refit.

The Internet Café on Promenade Deck became
the new Martini Bar.
