CARNIVAL TRIUMPH
TOUR AND
COMMENTARY
OVERVIEW
CARNIVAL TRIUMPH is the second in Carnival Cruise Lines'
Destiny-class ships. Slightly larger than the first ship in the class,
CARNIVAL DESTINY, TRIUMPH has an additional deck and can
carry about 90 more passengers. However, the facilities are
well-arranged in order to avoid a feeling of overcrowding.
Although this is a very large ship, it is quite maneuverable. The ships
are equipped with powerful bow and stern thrusters and thus avoid the
need for tug boat assistance, which is very important when doing island
itineraries where tugs are scarce.
The interior of the TRIUMPH is restrained. There is no shock and
awe. The theme of the public rooms is Cities of the World and
architect Joseph Farcus has reached out for a taste of the elegance and
sophistication of places like London, Paris, Rome and Oxford.
Still, this is a Carnival ship and the watchword is still: Fun. Thus, the
ship has the standard features that Carnival guests expect and the
overall light-hearted attitude.
