TOUR AND
COMMENTARY
Sensation also has ping pong
(left) and shuffleboard (right).
SPA
During the 2009 refit, the Pool area on
Sensation was substantially altered. It now
has a more resort-like atmosphere with
artificial palm trees and thatched roofs
over the hot tubs and the bar. In addition
to the pool, bar and hot tubs, the area
boasts a large stage and deck area that can
be used for dancing or covered by deck
chairs.
A nine-hole mini-golf course, a golf practice cage and a
jogging track make up the City Sports Park on Sun
Deck.
An excellent vantage point
coming into or leaving
port is the Observation
Deck forward on
Verandah Deck (left).
For more sheltered
outdoor strolls, there is
also a promenade on
either side of the ship
(right).
During Sensation's 2007 refit, the Spa Carnival was upgraded to 12,000 square feet to include new
treatment rooms and to house new cosmetic and exercise equipment. (See a menu of spa services from one
cruise)
Sensation has
treatment rooms for
individuals (left)
and for couples
(right). There is a
relaxation area
where guests can
have healthy snacks
between treatments
(below).
The facilities
include steam
rooms (not shown)
and saunas (right).
Right: The Beauty Salon.
The Gym includes cardio and
resistance exercise equipment
(above), an area for aerobics
(left) and free weights (right).

In addition to the pool area, deck
chairs can be found in the area in front
of the ship's funnel and in the area aft
of the City Sports Park
A major addition in 2009 was the Waterworks, which includes a spiral slide,
racing slides and various forms of fountains.
At the same time, Carnival added an adults-only Serenity Retreat (below) at the
stern of the ship on Deck 9, which includes two hot tuns, padded deck chairs and a
shaded area.
