OVERVIEW

Carnival Liberty is the fourth ship in the
line's Conquest class.  These ships are based
upon the design that first premiered with
Carnival Destiny but are larger and have
more features.  Liberty's sisters include
Carnival Conquest, Carnival Glory, Carnival
Valor, and Carnival Freedom.  They  remain
the mega-ship mainstays of the Carnival
fleet.  In fact, they are only surpassed in size
and features by
Carnival Splendor and
Carnival Dream.

Liberty cost approximately half a billion
dollars to build in 2005.

Her interior, like those of her sisters was
designed by architect Joe Farcus.  With
Liberty, he choose as his inspiration "great
artisans and their works" from iron working
to masonry, pottery and glass blowing to
jewelry making, from painting and leather
working to body art and photography.  This
is quite a wide spectrum and leant itself to a
variety of different styles in the decoration.

The Liberty is currently based in Miami and
cruises the Caribbean.
The Flowers Lobby is at the base
of the
 Garden Atrium, which
rises in part through nine decks .
Most of the public rooms are on or are connected by The Promenade,
which has seats for enjoying a drink, coffee, or just the changing scene.

The majority of the artwork on the Liberty is on the staircases.  However,
there are also items displayed by the ship's onboard art gallery.
The Guest Services Desk (above left) and the Shore Excursions Office (above right) are very similar in
decoration and are on opposite sides of the Lobby.

Similarly, the
Future Cruise Office (below left) and the Port Shopping Desk  (below right) face each other
along The Promenade on Deck 5.
Directly above the Lobby Bar is a
colorful chandelier (above).  Just
forward of the Lobby dance floor, glass
elevators take guests up towards the
skylight some nine decks over head
